The Golden Retriever Club Open Show – 27th NOVEMBER 2016 . COVENTRY
It was an honour & great pleasure to judge The Golden Retriever Club Open Show in Coventry. I thank the committee for its kind invitation. I would also like to thank my two stewards for their cheerful assistance and, lastly the, exhibitor for their entries, for the excellent presentation of their dogs and for their sporting acceptance of my decision.

Minor Puppy dog (6 abs. 3)
1. Mullett’s POUNDMEADOW BRIEF ENCOUNTA. BIS PUPPY IN SHOW. 6 months old puppy with lots of quality. This puppy really caught my eye for type & quality. So nicely put together , stood perfectly to go over him. Pleasing head, good eye & expression, correct bite, exc coat , . Good body for his age (just 6 months), Lovely bone & feet. Steady & positive on the move. Pleased to see him winning the BIS PUPPY in SHOW
2. Bristow’s BENCOE PIANO MAN. Again pleasing dogs, , lots of quality, good in head & eye, correct shoulder, correct body for age, Exc strong in rear. Move very well.

Puppy dog (5 abs. 2)
1. Ward’s . LAURENLEY OLIVIER. 11 months old puppy with lots of quality. Pleasing head, lovely expression & eye, nice body for age, strong top line, moved out well.
2. Golder’s AURISTELA HOT IN THE CITY WITH SUMMERAMBA NAF. 10 months old, with a lovely head, good proportions skull muzzle, level topline , good angles front and rear, sound movement

Junior dog (10 abs. 4)
1. Loach & Zubair’s THORNYWAIT ROSSINI. Pleasing dog, well balanced in outline. Liked head & expression, nice length of neck into shoulders, well made hindquarters correct coat & tail. Adequate bone, good feet, moved out nicely
2. Gerhold’s JAYMARDY INDIGO PACIFIC. Good outline dog, pleasing head, eye & expression, good topline & tailset, well bodied with good quarters, nice bone & feet. In movement would prefer more solid topline.
3. Kipps’s WHEATCROFT WHITE FLAME
Yearling dog (8 abs 3)
1. Broadhead’s MONCHIQUE PURE IMMAGINATION . RES. BEST DOG. Actrattive dog. Lovely type and proportion, excellent neck, excellent head, level top line , well angulated front e rear, sound on the move.
2. Kipps’s WHEATCROFT WHITE FLAME. Lovely type and proportion, excellent neck, excellent head, level top line , well angulated front e rear, need more powerful on the move.

1. Kipps’s WHEATCROFT WHITE FLAME. Lovely type and proportion, excellent neck, excellent head, level top line , well angulated front e rear, need more powerful on the move.
2. Weeks & Brown’s SIATHAM ICECREAM SUNDAE. Masculine head, strong boy, lovely expression, well angulated front e rear, good on the move, in nice condition of coat

1. Birkin-Green & Gripton’s SANSUE GOLDEN DREAM. Pleasing type and quality, good neck and shoulder, well bodied & topline, good strong quarters which he used on the move, in good form

Post Graduate (7 abs 1)
1. Keightley’s GOLDLYN GO ROAMING TO RICHANA. Quality dog with a lot of style, Perfect for size, correct in rib and topline, very typical in head , sound on the move, excellent chest and in nice condition of coat
2. Norris’s RAMCHAINE BOOGALOO AT MOLESTREAM. Well balanced dog, good size and bone, masculine expression, lovely head & eye, lovely neck and shoulder, moved out well
3. Kipps’s WHEATCROFT WHITE FLAME.
Open (8 abs 3)
1. Quality dogs in ts class with really close decision. Gerhold’s RAMCHAINE FABULICIOUS. BEST DOG. like this dog’s conformation , so well angulated front e rear, correct chest develop, very good mover only sometimes a little bit high tail, good strong quarters, really attractive dog.
2. Hartgill’s MUCH A DOO VD BEERSE HOEVE BY EBBLEDOWN. Balanced and strong, beautifully angulated front e rear, good head shape, lovely eyes and expression, well placed and carried tail , excellent on the move
3. Hodgson’s FENPINQUE ROMEO.
Veteran Dog/Bitch (8 abs 5)
1.1. Broadhead’s MONCHIQUE GOLDEN DREAMS. Best Special Veteran. A lovely well balanced bitch with an excellent body & very pleasing outline, Exc reach of neck into well laid shoulders & good return of upper arm. She moved very well for the age. Really attractive veteran.
1.2. Walker’s KENSALROAG ANGUS MACLEOD TO FALKESHALL. Lovely head and body proportion, so well angulated front e rear, correct chest, good mover, lovely temperament.
1.3. Smithies’s NUNSBROOK TEAZEL AT ALFIRO
Minor Puppy bitch (15 abs. 2)
1.1. Very strong class with many puppies with a big potentioal in the future. Plased to see this quality in the ring. Loverock’s LOVISSA DIAMOND SPARKLE. Just 7 months old. Nice female with excellent potencial. Strong in rear and front assembly for one so young, well constructed angulation & well off for bone. In lovely condition & correct coat. Steady showing real promise in movement around the ring. Pleased to award her
1.2. Ashton’s WILLOWLAWN TARANTELLA. 6 months old. Female puppy. Caught my eye on entering the ring. She has promising frame to grow into. Soundly grown, well balanced & looking right for her age. Pleasing head, kind & very nice expression, strong bone. Correct angulation in front & rear. Shows plenty of promise for the future.

1.1. Another strong class with many lovely puppies. Rodgers’s ROJILLAIR EVENING MAGIC OF ODARLA. BEST OPPOSITE SEX PUPPY IN SHOW. Really Lovely pup, she presents a very nice outline,exc body shape for a youngster, strong bone, well angulated in front & rear, in nice coat condition, would prefer much more solid on the move.
1.2. Foster’s AURISTELLA SWEET SIXTEEN. Lovely pup, well balanced has good bone and feet, powerfully built, in good coat condition, nice temperament, exc angulation in front & rear, sound movement

1.1. Ward’s WHEATCROFT FLAME FLICKA AT LAURENLEY. Feminine head, good reach of neck, well balanced in outline. Nice length of neck into shoulders, well made hindquarters correct coat & tail. Adequate bone, good feet, she moved extremely well.
1.2. Loverock’s RIERA EMPRESS OF LOVISSA. Lovely female with feminine expression, exc bone, a well angulated bitch shown in really nice condition of coat, nice movement.
1.3. Campion’s FENPINQUE PRADA MAYFAIR
Yearling bitch (9 abs 2)
1.1. Really lovely class with two beautiful bitch placed first and second place. Magson’s CASTLEGOLDEN CLASSY LADY. RBIS. Very attractive head with good expression, exc angulation in front and rear, nice length of neck into shoulders, well made hindquarters correct coat & tail. In movement would like more solid topline. 1.2. Archer’s MONCHIQUE BELIEVE IN DREAMS FOR SHANCADE. Balanced and strong, beautifully angulated front e rear, good head shape, lovely eyes and expression, well placed and carried tail , excellent on the move.

1.1. Anderson & Curry’s RAMCHAINE ANAPHORA AT LINCHAEL. Lovely type and proportion, excellent head, nice angulation in front and rear, in nice coat condition, sound movement.

1.1. Ashton’s WILLOWLAWN LA SYLPHIDE. BIS. A dream female of Golden in many ways, very kind eye, great expression, her action & style on the move is so positive, well angulated in front and rear, did everything asked of her, a pleasure to judge her in the ring.
1.2. Furbank’s KAYZAELLE KEEP DREAMING. Feminine quality head, Lovely type and proportion , well angulated in front and rear, good reach of neck, well balanced in outline. Would prefer much more solid topline on the move and tail is a little bit high.
1.3. Kinmond’s FERNWYCHE SPIRIT OF THE MOON
Open bich (15 ABS 7)
1.1. Griggs’s MULFIELD PEACH BLOSSOM. Lovely head and body proportion, strong female in bone and structure, so well angulated front e rear, correct chest develop, good mover, lovely temperament. In nice coat condition.
1.2. Broadhead’s MONCHIQUE PACHANCE TO DREAM. Balanced and strong, beautifully angulated front e rear, lovely eyes and expression, well placed and carried tail , needs more powerful on the move.
