Bitches.
It was a pleasure to judge so many lovely bitches at this well organised show, where everything possible was done for the comfort of exhibitors and judges. My stewards , Sue Loach and Melissa Loverock, were super efficient and kept everything running smoothly. I was pleased to note the short perpendicular upper arms and upright shoulders which were so prevalent for so long had disappeared. Of concern is the long, spindly hocks that too many exhibits possessed. Weak hocks can never give the strong, driving action that is required. The required tight, cat- like feet were in the minority. So many of this breed that look wonderful in the many photos on social media that proliferate before each show, just fall apart on the move. In classes full of otherwise lovely bitches, movement is the deciding factor when finally placing. Although pleased with all my winners, three stood out for their breed type. Correct conformation and movement. These were the CC and Reserve CC winners and also the very lovely, sound winner of Special Working B.
