- The Two Day Stake this year had a truely
international flavour, with competitors from Norway, Switzerland,
Netherlands and the winner from France. Even one of the Guns
was from Germany. -
-
To mark this Centennial year, Wendy Andrews kindly drew
head studies of the five golden retrievers who had won the prestigious
International Gundog League Retriever Championship, and replicated
them in the style of prize cards given by the Club some fifty
years ago. The lucky winners of each of our trials have received
one of these cards. Each competitor has received either a commemorative pen
or lapel pin and our judges a specially commissioned badge of
the three Kentford Champions who form part of our Centenary logo.-

Year of the club, started out wet but the rain stopped during
the first drive, and the sun appeared at times, A strong blustery
wind then started and made for some testing dog work in stubble
turnips and stubble, the guns shot plenty of partridges and pheasants
flying well on the wind through the three drives.
