Thank you to the Officers and Executive Committee of the club for my invitation to your well run and friendly open show to judge the Special Award Classes. Also thank you to all of you who entered your dogs under me. I had a fabulous entry with some quality dogs to judge. Also thank you again to the committee for the thoughtful gifts after completing my judging.
CLASS A – THE HEATHER MORRIS MEMORIAL SPECIAL AWARD PUPPY DOG OR BITCH
1st Crookes & Jenkinson Mrs DS & Mrs RJ – Thornywait Royal Story – Pretty and confident young lady with excellent pigment and dark brown eyes which gave her a beautiful expression. Straight in front with good angulation fore and after, short coupled. Moved out well, keeping a level top line. Well presented and handled.
2nd Falconer Mrs AE – Cheek to Cheek Unbridled Dreams for Siatham (imp Fra) – Smaller frame than my winner but loved her expression and overall balance. Well presented baby with a wavy blonde coat. Neat cat like feet and correct stifle which gave her good drive on the move and holding a level top line with excellent tail set.
CLASS B – THE JOAN LAVENDER MEMORIAL SPECIAL AWARD GRADUATE DOG OR BITCH
1st Clunie Miss K – Warrentor Nohkalikai – Rich golden bitch presented in beautiful gleaming coat. Kind expression with good chiselling & correct depth of muzzle. Well angulated, lovely round feet, well sprung ribs. Moved with level top line and good tail carriage. Excellent muscle tone and no doubt she could do a days work in the field. Loved her happy and attentive attitude towards her owner.
2nd Mandley Mrs V – Maltqudos Enchanted JW – A very balanced outline on this pretty girl with a kind expression who was shown to advantage by her handler. Correct length of neck flowing to correctly laid back shoulders. Moved well with level top line and correct tail carriage.
CLASS C – THE JOAN GILL MEMORIAL SPECIAL AWARD OPEN DOG OR BITCH
1st Crookes & Jenkinson Mrs DS & Mrs RJ – Quakerhall Victory Jubilee JW – Loved this eight year young lady, so attentive towards her handler and clearly a will to please. Very balanced overall, sweet expression, correct length of neck and good shoulder and rear angulation, moved so beautifully around the ring with drive and holding a super level top line. Would happily have taken her home!
2nd Fosdike Mrs M – Meiepere You Are My Sunshine Est/Lva Jch/Balt JW’18 (Imp Est) – Very pleasing outline on this happy young lady, another dog with a strong desire to please her handler. Beautiful round feet, super top line held on the move and correct tail set which did not stop wagging. Slightly longer coupled than my winner.
