Many thanks to the committee of The Golden Retriever Club for inviting me to judge
their Open Show. I thoroughly enjoyed my day and would like to thank the
exhibitors for bringing their lovely dogs under me, some of whom had had a long day
at ECGRC champ show the day before
Minor Puppy Dog 4 ( 2abs)
Two very different puppies
1 Clarke-Gears’s Ousevale Grand Slam
Most appealing 6 month old baby with lovely head and expression, nice length of
neck, good front and rear angulation, level top line which he held on the move.
2 Shepherd and Dugdale’s Parlickview Story of Love
This 9 month old young man was full of energy and just wanted to give his handler a
hard time. Mid gold boy with nice head and expression, short coupled, level top line
and correct tailset. Sadly bounced his way round the ring.

1 Clarke-Gear’s Ousevale Grand Slam BPD RBPIS
2. Archer’s Haydengold Just a Rumour at Sunandair
Lots to like about this young man, masculine head with dark eye and soft expression,
balanced outline with good front front and rear angulation, strong top line which he
held on the move.
3. Moore;s Purbarn Friends Together
Junior Dog 4 ( 2 abs)
1.Bolton’s Megarvey Still Game for Shiresmill
This young dog is starting to mature well and dropping into his good sized frame.
Presented in good mid gold coat, soft exression and dark eye, straight front and
good tight feet, good front and rear angulation, level topline and correct tailset. On
the move covered the ground with a good strong, effortless rhythmic stride.
2. Moore’s Purbarn Friends Together
Mid gold boy with nice head and expression,straight front, would have liked a little
more length of neck, short coupled with nice front and rear angulation, moved out
well.
Yearling Dog 2 (1 abs) BD BIS
1 Bawden’s Balsamina Beachcomber at Darthill BD and BIS
Presented in super coat and condition. Lovely balanced head with melting
expression. Good length of neck flowing into well angulated shoulders. Short
coupled with good bend of stifle and strong hindquarters. Moved effortlessly round
the ring.

1 Williams Berrymeade Kilternan of Busheyhall
Freestanding and attentive to his handler. Nice head with pleasing expression
good length of neck flowing into level topline and correct tailset giving a balanced
picture. Moved well with an even stride.
2 Shepherd and Dugdale’s Parlickview Love Story
Graduate Dog (4 1 abs)
Baxter and Riley’s Bermary Captain Hastings
Pale dog with lovely head and soft expression. Straight front legs and good angles
front and rear. Deep chested with good spring of ribs giving a balanced outline.
Moved out powerfully from strong hindquarters.
2 Grainger and Turner’s Amilone Aramis
Another pale coated boy with soft expression and dark eye, good front angulation,
nice tight feet, level topline, well musculed hindquarters, moved out well.
3 Humphrey;s Sequotia Anywhere is

1 Riley’s Wylloh Lost in Translation
Mid gold coat in good condition, nice head, good upper arm and well laid back
shoulders, short coupled, good bend of stifle, strong hindquarters, moved out well.
2 Collis: Merimoor Outlander of Dorwinion
Happy boy whose tail never stopped wagging. Mid gold wavy coat, kind head and
expression, strong well muscled body, moved well.
3. Humphteys Sequotia Anywhere is

1 Smith’s Thornywait Iluminati at Goldmarker
Attentive to his handler mid gold boy in good coat and condition.. Lovely head and
expression, good front angulation balanced by strong hindquarters. Moved out well
covering the ground with ease. Well handled.
2 Bolton’s Stanroph Superstravagante for Shiresmill
This boy was not in the best of coats today but his qualities are still apparent, lovely
chiselled head with dark eye, short coupled well muscled body, moved out well.
3 Roper’s Catnells Inside Story for Brensham SGWC
Special Veteran 9+ Dog or Bitch 8 (4 abs)
1 Crookes an Jenkinson’s Sh.Ch.Stanroph Still the Same (Imp Esp)
Just love this 9 year old girl who is so typical of the breed. Presented in full mid gold
coat with a tail that never stopped wagging. Feminine head, dark eye, correct front
and rear assembly, short coupled with good spring of rib, level topline held as she
floated round the ring.
2 Robbins and Rowark Brekswood Lady Eleanor
Another 9 year old girl in tip top condition. Slightly longer caste than 1, pretty head,
good length of neck flowing into well angulated front shoulder, level top line and well
muscled hindquarters. Moved out well.
3 Ewart’s Beaupippin Careyburn Linn
Special Open Dog or Bitch (4 2abs)
1 Williams Coeur Blimey at Busheyhall SWGC
Mid gold dog in good coat. Soft head and dark eye, nice straight front and tight
feet, good front angulation, short coupled, level topline, nice bend of stifle. Moved
out well

Minor Puppy Bitch 10 (7 abs)
1 Ewart’s Parlickview Blaze of Glory over Beaupippin
Very attentive to her handler this young lady presents a balanced outline, pretty head
and dark eye. Well boned and nice tight feet, level topline and correct tailset.
Moved out well.
2 Thomson’s Soneve Pussy Willow
Attractive 6 month old pale girl. Good front and rear angulation, deep bodied, level
topline which she kept on the move. Moved out well.
3 Hush’s Ousevale Ocean Breeze at Benrowan

Best class of the day
1 Loverock, Waldron-Smith and Zubair’s Thornywait Starstruck with Lovissa BPIS
Eye catching mid gold young lady in super coat and condition, appealing feminine
head and dark eye, nice straight front and tight feet. Good length of neck and front
angulation, level topline, good bend of stifle and strong hindquarters. .Moved with
effortless ease round the ring. This gave her the final point for her JW at just 9
months.
2 Bell’s Hoaaloa Ahyoka
Attractive young lady with a happy waggy tail. Pleasing head with dark eye. correct
angulation front and rear presenting a balanced picture. Moved out well at one with
her handler.
3 Mell’s Sansue Love Actually at Meloak

1 Ellis’ Tenfield Sparkling Sunrise
Attentive to her handler and standing four square. In lovely mid gold coat and
condition, feminine head and dark eye, Good front and rear angulation, short
coupled with good spring of rib, correct tailset. Moved purposefully round the ring.
2 Smith’s Goldmarker Luminess (AI)
Presented in gleaming dark gold coat, an eye catching young lady whose tail never
stopped wagging, with the prettiest of heads and dark eye, nice shoulder angulation,
level top line and correct tailset, super bend of stifle and strong hindquarters.
Moved happily round the ring.
3 Layland’s Applecote Love in Disguise

This young lady presented a very pleasing picture. Pretty head and expression,
short coupled with good front angulation and bend of stifle. Kept her topline on the
move.

Pale coated bitch, appealing head with dark eye, good front and rear angulation,
level topline and correct tailset. Moved out well on good even stride.
3 Ewart’s Parlickview Blaze of Glory over Beuapippin

1 Porter’s Shearstone Grace and Favour
Lovely compact 9 year old bitch presented in good coat and condition. Nice head
and expression, good length of neck flowing into correct front angulation. Loved her
waggy tail. Moved effortlessly round the ring.
2 Ellis’ Tenfield Sunloch
Another nice bitch in good coat and condition. Soft head and dark eye, balanced
short coupled outline with good front angulation and bend of stifle. Moved well.
3 Rea’s Fenique Shooting Star Over Osrealin

Super girl in good coat and condition. Appealing head and expression, correct front
and rear angulation, good spring of rib, level topline, correct tailset presenting a
lovely balanced outline. Moved out with a srong and purposeful stride.
2 Porter’s Shearstone Muck Fe
Love this mid gold girl, prettiest of heads, straight front and nice tight feet, good
shoulder, level topline, good bend of stifle topped off with a very waggy tail. Moved
out with drive.
3 Grady’s Glenrioch Coyoteugly
Brace 1
Williams’ Berrymeade Coeur Blimey at Bushley SWGRC/ Berrymeade Kilernan of
Busheyhall
This pair performed very well together and they really loved the fact that they were
moving round the ring together. Well handled.
